I would call myself a traveler. With a camera in hand, a notebook in my back pocket and my eyes wide open, I revel in the experience. Every place has a story to tell.

I have a keen eye and a knack for telling a particular experience. In many ways, writing about train watching in Folkston, Georgia, is no different than reporting on a murder trial. Keep your eyes open and look for what’s interesting.

Traveling is an experience and that experience is what you make of it. If you go somewhere new, unwilling to try new things, then your experience will be limited. You have to be open to new experiences, willing to try new things and be unafraid to push the envelope.

Maybe pushing that envelope will be a bust. But, that doesn’t make the trip a bad experience. It’s only a bad experience when you return home and say, “I should have…”
